In the Market: 60s Boudoir

There have been times over the last couple of years when I've thought that I would have an aneurysm if I had to look at one more badass bullet/spike studded article of clothing. As much as I love my Rick Owens leather, sometimes a girl just wants to be a girl. I love slipping into something lacy and lingerie-like, smoothing on a slick of red lipstick, and stepping out in a proper ladylike heel. Add some cat-eye glasses and a frilly underwire bikini to the equation, and you've got yourself an old-school (skool?) look straight out of a 1960s boudoir.

Some of my favorite pieces reminiscent of more feminine times:

1. Benno Graziani Reporting in Style, $75, at barneys.com
2. Tom Ford cat-eye sunglasses, $360, at net-a-porter.com
3. Nina Ricci lace dress, $4,590, at barneys.com
4. Dior DiorShow 360 Mascara, $36, at sephora.com
5. Christian Louboutin suede pump, $895, at barneys.com
6. By Terry Rouge Terrybly lipstick, $48, at spacenk.com
7. Miu Miu bow-embellished underwire bikini, $245, at net-a-porter.com
8. Parfums de Rosine Une Folie de Rose Eau de Parfum, $140, at barneys.com
9. Lanvin Ouloulou satin pouchette, $990, at barneys.com
