Talk Like an Open Book

I don't know if it's the grey, cloudy days, the lack of Vitamin D, or the official end of the holidays, but lately I've felt the need to brighten things up a bit with my sartorial choices (read: no more black on black on black). I dug this teeny tiny jewel-toned Prada skirt out of my closet, and I swear, the deep garnet silk awesomeness of it lifted my spirits all day long. Also, it's shaped like a perfect little bell and cinches in at the waist, which I like.

A couple of new things: I added a little "about me" paragraph to the right of this blog (I need to give it a more major facelift, but it's a slight improvement in the meantime). And my hair is a few shades lighter (courtesy of Tim at Cutler in SoHo). It was all kinds of different colors from the countless hours I spent in the sun over the summer and it needed a bit of evening out. You like?

I'm wearing a Prada skirt, an old hand-me-down sweater, Michael Stars scarf, Acne boots, Chanel bag. All pictures by Mark Iantosca. xo

  6. Great skirt with a beautiful colour!

I totally agree with the need to wear something else than black when it's so dark and depressing outside.
