A Man A Plan A Canal

In the midst of the sticky NYC heatwave this morning, I went to seek refuge in Barneys Co-Op in SoHo with my business partner/best friend Alex in search of an air-conditioned shopping experience. It hit me that I have not even come close to starting my spring/summer shopping yet--I haven't actually purchased a single item, leaving me with a closet full of last seasons dresses and no shoes to speak of. Sad state of affairs.

Surprisingly, there wasn't much in Barneys that I wanted to bother to try on, much less purchase, with the exception of the entire rack of Vena Cava. I usually gravitate straight to the Alex Wang/Opening Ceremony/Acne/Phillip Lim racks, but there's something about a hot, sticky summer day that makes me want to wear nothing but Vena Cava.

Their spring 2010 collection was one of the best they've ever done--I'm currently trying to figure out a way to buy every piece without having to downgrade apartments. All of my fashion-centric friends keep asking me what my "look" is going to be this season, and I think I've finally got it sorted out. See above for my must-have picks from the collection. xo
