Hudson Jeans Fall 2010 Preview

My first stop of the morning was at the Hudson Jeans showroom in the Garment District. I love it when the Hudson boys come into town from LA. Tony Chu and Peter King are two of my favorite people I've met in fashion--not only are they a seriously good time (they've been known to cause more than a few editor "sick days" when they roll in), they also have a real passion for their brand and their work that is inspiring.

The same can be said for Hudson's designer Ben Taverniti, who took me around and showed me the fall 2010 collection piece by piece. In the last season or two, he's added fantastic outerwear and knits to the denim line, as well as a line of denim that encompasses special details like leather edges, zippered backs, open-stitch seams in unexpected places, and hard-core buckles.

You can see my favorite pieces in the (relatively shoddy) iPhone pictures above. Next time I'll remember to bring a real camera (oops...).
